A public opinion survey conducted by the Emirates ID Authority on its website showed that about 72% of the Authority's customers have personally reviewed and checked their application data while 10.65% of customers have left the checking task to the printing office staff.
9.22% of about 2500 respondents said that they did not feel the importance of the checking process while 8.59% said they did never check the data although they know that this check is necessary.
In a story published in yesterday's issue of Al Khalij newspaper, the Emirates ID Authority called for checking and verifying the data in the ID form before paying registration or renewal fees in order to avoid delay in receiving the card and ensuring quick and timely printing.
According to the Emirates ID Authority, customers can benefit from the website services including ID Card Status that enables customers to follow up the status of their applications and the processing until the full completion of the transaction and receipt of the ID card.
