United Nation, the international organization for criminal police and a number of local and international government bodies and some embassies at the country, all praised the publications of the Emirates Identity Authority in the field of scientific research, noting the authority’s keenness to sharing its research and scientific results internationally.
In official telegrams sent recently to the Emirates ID, these bodies and organizations valued the authority’s keenness to support the knowledge based community and economy in the UAE and internationally, through spreading the scientific researchs and specialized studies that reinforce the culture of Digital Identity and highlights the future role of the advanced identity systems in reinforcing the security of nations and communities, supporting the electronic government projects and facilitating services at the public and private sectors.
Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Director General of Emirates Identity Authority stressed the authority’s keenness to be among the first government bodies in the country to adopt the scientific research as a mean to draw its strategic plans and achieve goals emerging from it, as well as contribute to establish the competitive status of the country on the scientific, research and intellectual levels.
Dr. Al Khouri said that the scientific researches prepared by the Emirates Identity Authority, are characterized by its scientific context and applied nature, and that it talks to the countries and governments in the language of the modern world, away from the traditional academic frames, by demonstrating the live experience of the UAE on more than one level in its relentless quest to become among the best countries in the world under the “UAE Vision 2021”.
The authority have issued lately its scientific research book titled “Critique Ideas”, which included a group of scientific and intellectual researches and studies in the field of advance ID systems management, electronic government and strategic management, which were published in many International journals during 2012.
The authority initiated the distribution of its new book to its strategic partners in the public and private sectors in the country and all scientific and educational institutions in the country. The authority also presented it to a number of the international organizations and authorities, and embassies in the country.
United Nation Library
The international expert “Richard Kirby”, the United Nations regional consultant at the in the management of Electronic Government for the Social and Economic Affairs, expressed his appreciation to the Emirates Identity Authority in presenting its research publications group to the international organization, confirming that the U.N is going to include these publications to its public library and include them to the United Nation library for social and economic affairs, as well as uploading copies of it on its website, in order to make it available to researchers and those wanting to benefit from it in the field of developing and reinforcing the concepts of the smart identity systems and its advanced applications and other areas.
Kirby said that the Emirates Identity Authority’s researches will be excellent and important resources for governments and academics and researchers in the field of the digital identity and many contemporary Issues, expressing his appreciation to the prestigious status which the United Arab Emirates have achieved as a pioneering country at the regional and international levels in the Electronic Government indicator.
The international expert added that the Emirates Identity Authority’s experience in considered among the best government experiences across the world, given its contribution in providing “Open” data for the government work system on the UAE level, benefiting from the digital identity project managed by the authority.
From his side, Mr. “Ronald Nobel”, the general secretary of the Interpol, valued the authority’s efforts in the scientific research field aiming to harness the identity applications to service the economy, protect the electronic trade and provide it with the safe environment.
Mr. Nobel noted the authority’s initiative in presenting its valued researches to many international institutions, in order to make them available for researches and interested people, which is a contribution to the international efforts aiming to support law enforcement and provide security in the communities.
Interpol’s general secretary praised the Emirates Identity Authority’s role in developing and updating the identity concept, which will have great future benefit in facing organized criminal activities and expose the identity fraud operations which form a direct challenge and threat to the security and stability across the world.
Embassies and Research Institutions
Many embassies at the country, research institutions and local and international universities, all valued the Emirates ID’s scientific and research efforts, and its keenness to share its scientific and research results with the rest of the world, confirming that this initiative supports the efforts of scientists, researchers and specialists to develop government work systems and update the level of government services provided to customers across the world.
Emirates Identity Authority is keen on contributing to the development of scientific research and reinforcing it in the country, given its importance in building contemporary nations, and being an indicator of the development and prestigious status of the countries, especially under the modern world system and contemporary economy.
The book “Critique Ideas” highlights the tireless efforts by the wise leadership of the country to upgrade the government performance and the official institutional services to develop and build the modern and contemporary country, and achieving the knowledge based community and economy, so that the UAE becomes number 1 in all fields.
Emirates Identity Authority published electronic copies of its book on its website. It also announced that the authority is willing to provide free copies of the book to the students, researchers and various educational institutions in the country, who are interested in having such copies.
