HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahya, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and EIDA Vice-Chairman, asserted keenness on achieving noble goals as in fighting crime, maintaining people’s security and maintaining their rights and dignity.
HH said: “We are working in accordance with solid religious principles and human and cultural standards." He expressed his hope to work together to build a better future for the next generations based on strong wills, mutual cooperation and sincere belief in rightfulness, justice and equality.
HH added in his keynote address while chairing the 29th round of the Arab Interior Ministers meeting which kicked off yesterday afternoon in Tunisia: The common security challenges in the Arab world are many but not impossible to address. There are always solutions and initiatives in the joint Arab framework. We have to benefit from these solutions and initiatives to reach the legitimate goals our peoples are seeking first and our Arab governments are pursuing next.
HH continued: “The changes witnessed by the Arab World over the past year are no secret as well as the grave challenges facing our Arab region in all arenas.” He called for finding and establishing new mechanisms and wise procedures to address these challenges in a modern and collective spirit while taking into account the particulars and legislations of each state.
