The Emirates Identity Authority has announced the opening of a new office for registration in the population register and ID card in the building of the Customer Service Center of Al Ain Municipality in mazyad area.
The Emirates Identity Authority also announced its intention to open 3 new offices for registration in ID card in Abu Dhabi City and Musaffah in the coming two months as part of its keenness on making its services closed to the public.
H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, emphasized the Emirates Identity Authority's intention to increase the number of its centers and offices across the UAE in co-operation with its strategic partners. This comes as part of the Emirates Identity Authority's keenness to making its services closer to customers and providing distinguished and qualitative service to them based on its new strategic plan, which places customers on top of its priorities, he added, expressing the Emirates Identity Authority's thanks for the government and private organizations that co-operate with it to achieve the objectives of its national project.
The new office which the Emirates Identity Authority opened in Al Ain Municipality Center in Mazyad area includes two registration lines (one for female customers and the other for male ones) and receives customers from 7:30am to 2:30pm on official working days, he said.
Al Khouri pointed out that the new office is the Emirates Identity Authority's third office in Al Ain City, adding that the Emirates Identity Authority previously opened an office with 5 registration lines in Al Quoa area and another office with two registration lines in Suwaihan. This adds to the Emirates Identity Authority's main registration center in Al Ain, which includes 20 registration lines and has a capacity of around 2,000 registrants a day, he said.
In the same context, Al Khouri announced the Emirates Identity Authority's intention to open 3 new registration offices in Abu Dhabi City and Musaffah in the coming two months, all providing more than 15 registration lines.
According to Al Khouri, the first office that the Emirates Identity Authority intends to open in the building of the Emirates Telecommunication Corporation – etisalat in Baniyas provides 9 registration lines. The office is expected to be opened in the coming two months to serve the neighboring areas such as Al Mafraq, Al Wathba, Al Shamkha, Al Nahda etc., he added.
The second office, which is located in the Emirates Driving Company in Musaffah, provides 4 registration lines and is expected to be opened before the end of September. The office is aimed at facilitating procedures for the customers interested in issuing driving licenses, which requires registration in ID card after linking services between the Ministry of Interior and the Emirates Identity Authority.
The third office, which is located in the building of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in Abu Dhabi City, provides two registration lines and is expected to be opened within 10 days.
The ID card registration office in Al Ain Municipality Center in Mazyad area was opened in the presence of Mohamed Matar Al Neyadi, Acting Director of the Department of Al Ain Municipality Services Offices – Eastern Sector, Mohamed Al Harthy, Director of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Centers, Emirates Identity Authority, and Hamad Al Ghafli, Director of Al Ain Registration Center, Emirates Identity Authority.
It is worthwhile that the Emirates Identity Authority has operated 14 centers annexed to preventive medicine centers across the UAE and has activated the service of linking residence issuance and renewal procedures with ID card registration procedures in Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
Development of Services and Centers
